The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Alliance are now offering a unified assessment tool, the School Health Index (SHI), to guide school-based obesity prevention and health promotion.

The Healthy Schools Program website hosts a version of the School Health Index that includes only the nutrition and physical activity health topics, plus some cross-cutting school health questions, which can be accessed via the Assessment at Schools.HealthierGeneration.org.
The Alliance, Let’s Move! Active Schools, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture have similar goals when it comes to school wellness.
