Chefs like Rachael Ray and Reed Alexander have developed a series of scratch (and semi-scratch) cooking recipes to kick off the trend. And not just any recipes make it into our cookbook.
Recipes must pass several tests:
- Student taste-test approval
- The Alliance strict nutritional guidelines and the USDA final rule on nutrition standards for school meals.
- School food service staff operations approval
